These types of structures typically involve elevated slabs with high shore heights, large loading requirements and long spans between vertical support elements. Due to these factors; the shoring design, forming and overall construction of these structures is unique. These types of structures require the design of large beams and girders to accommodate the long span between vertical support elements which produces very significant shoring loads. The shoring loads combined with shore heights requires the necessity to pay particular attention to the shoring design and layout. These structures normally have wide footprint and therefore require that specific attention be paid to the type of hoisting required and the associated logistics that accompany each specific type of equipment.
