Project Description:
The Kahala Nui Senior Retirement Facility is located on the capital island of Oahu approximately 2 miles from the waters edge. This facility consists of three main structures; a parking structure, two independent living residence structures, an assisted living residence, and a commons structure.
The 152,000 spare foot parking structure is approximately 180’ x 300’. The three suspended levels are all below grade with a grass play field above. The structural design is comprised of 8” flat slabs supported by 12” x 36” columns, perimeter cast in place retaining walls and concrete ramp retaining walls.
The independent living residences & assisted living residences are total over 470,000 square feet Each structure includes PT slab construction supported by CIP columns, and shear / stair & elevator walls.
The commons structure is 33,000 square feet of mild steel slab & beam construction.
